The French telecommunications operator Iliad, controlled by the magnate Xavier Niel, recorded a net profit attributable of 491 million euros in the first half of 2026, which implies a decrease of 28.3% compared to the same period of the previous year, according to the accounts released by the company this Thursday.
In parallel, the adjusted profit from continuing operations of Iliad stood at 326 million euros in the first semester, which represents an increase of 39.5% compared to the first six months of 2025.
The group's turnover at the end of the first six months of the year amounted to 5.241 billion euros, a 3% increase year-on-year, with a 3.1% advance in service revenues, up to 4.838 billion, while the sale of equipment contributed 402 million, a 2.5% increase.
By geography, Iliad's billing in France grew by 1.5% in the semester, reaching 3.324 billion euros. In Italy, revenues increased by 10.2%, up to 665 million, and in Poland they advanced by 3.5%, up to 1.257 billion.
The gross operating result after leases (Ebitdaal) of Iliad rose to 2.091 billion euros, a 2.2% increase compared to a year earlier. For its part, the group's net debt was reduced to 8.996 billion, a 4.6% decrease.
Between April and June, the net profit attributable of the French telecom reached 358 million euros, which represents an increase of 113% compared to the same quarter of 2025.
In that same period, Iliad's revenues totaled 2.632 billion euros, a 3.2% increase, of which 2.436 billion came from the provision of services, a 3.5% increase compared to a year earlier. The sale of equipment generated 198 million euros, a 0.2% decrease.
"The planned acquisition of SFR's assets represents an opportunity to increase our scale and, at the same time, expand the free model, to the benefit of consumers," said Thomas Reynaud, CEO of Iliad, who maintains the goal of achieving an effective free cash flow of over 1 billion euros for the whole of 2026.
