Repsol has decided to extend during all days of September the discounts that it had been applying to its individual customers only on summer weekends. These bonuses allow for savings of up to 45 cents of euro per liter of fuel, depending on the energies contracted with the company and the advantages linked to the new Waylet card, the company reported.
Between September 1 and 30, transport professionals and self-employed workers who pay with the Solred card, whether in physical format or through the Waylet application, will have a minimum and automatic discount of at least 10 cents per liter of fuel on their bill, without the need to contract additional services.
With this initiative, which groups its fuel offer along with electricity, heating, solar energy, and electric mobility solutions, the energy company emphasized that "it continues an initiative designed to promote the savings of its customers also during the return to routine."
The company added that the campaign "is part of Repsol's savings ecosystem, a multi-energy proposal that allows its customers to accumulate advantages in their energy consumption and enjoy the convenience of having a single provider to meet their energy needs at home and in mobility."
Discounts in a context of record fuel prices
The extension of these discounts comes at a time of significant increases in fuel prices, which this week marks their eighth consecutive rise. Since the end of the reduced VAT application at 10% in early July, prices have accumulated an increase of almost 24%, reaching summer highs just before the August return operation.
In detail, the average price of a liter of diesel has risen this week by 1.8% compared to the previous one, reaching 1.861 euros, consolidating at its highest levels since mid-April.
Meanwhile, the average price of a liter of gasoline has increased to 1.723 euros, after rising by 1.55% compared to last week and reaching its maximum value since March, according to data from the European Union's Oil Bulletin.
