The European Microfinance Network is celebrating its Annual Conference this Thursday and Friday at the CaixaForum Barcelona, where it addresses how to advance towards a more inclusive entrepreneurship ecosystem, focusing on financing and cooperation between public and private agents, CaixaBank reports in a statement this Thursday.
The meeting, organized together with MicroBank and Autoocupació, aims to bring together the main European institutions and the public and private entities linked to the field of microfinance.
During the first day, the evolution of microfinance in Catalonia and throughout Spain has been analyzed, with the presence of entrepreneurs who have shared their experiences and the impact that microcredits have had on the launch and consolidation of their business initiatives.
Likewise, representatives of European financial institutions have addressed the challenges and opportunities of the sector and how they can promote more inclusive and sustainable growth.
This Friday's session will be dedicated to the role of philanthropy as a lever to strengthen inclusive entrepreneurship, especially in those areas where public and private financing faces the greatest obstacles and limitations.
