The national spokesperson of the BNG, Ana Pontón, has lashed out at the president of the Xunta, Alfonso Rueda, whom she accuses of "neglecting his duties" to travel to Madrid to support the "ultra strategy" of the Popular Party.

As she explained this Monday at an event held in Carballo (A Coruña), broadcast by the Bloque itself, Pontón criticized that, "instead of being in the Consello of the Xunta," Rueda chose to attend the informational breakfast offered by the president of Ceuta, Juan Jesús Vivas, to which various regional leaders of the PP have joined.

The nationalist leader emphasized that in the Consello of the Xunta "measures must be taken to support the needs of Galicians," which is why she reproaches Rueda for "neglecting" his obligations and "going to Madrid to continue supporting the agenda and ultra strategy of the PP."

"I want to remind Mr. Rueda that Galicians do not pay him to go to Madrid on Mondays to applaud the racist hate agenda of the PP," but rather to attend to their needs," Pontón pointed out during her speech.

In the same vein, she labeled the head of the Galician Executive as "disloyal to Galicia" for considering "more important" to support the political line of Calle Génova than to participate in the Consello making decisions "that are truly useful to improve the lives of Galicians." "In any case, whether he is there or not is irrelevant because this shows us that we have a president of the Xunta who is dispensable," she concluded.
