A bomb threat, still in the verification phase, forced this Tuesday a commercial aircraft of the Hungarian airline Wizz Air, which was operating the route between London and Sofia, to make an emergency landing at Budapest international airport.
The Minister of Defense, Romulusz Ruszin-Szendi, detailed that, as soon as the warning was received, aircraft from the NATO air defense readiness service took off immediately to intercept the flight and accompany its arrival at Ferenc Lizst airport, located in the Hungarian capital.
"The air defense readiness service of the Hungarian Armed Forces has once again demonstrated its worth in a real situation," the minister highlighted on social media about this episode, which has not caused victims and remains under analysis by Police specialists.
