A woman has lost her life this Friday as a result of a drone attack attributed to the Ukrainian Army against the Russian region of Voronezh, according to local authorities, in the context of the war that began in February 2022 following the invasion order signed by Russian President, Vladimir Putin.
The regional governor, Alexander Gusev, has pointed out in a message disseminated on social media that "a drone struck a private home in Borisoglebsk, causing a fire that killed a woman born in 1983." "Two people have been injured and have received attention," the regional leader added.
Gusev has expressed his condolences to the relatives of the victims of the "terrorist attack by the Ukrainian regime" and has detailed that material damages have been recorded in a residential building, a school center, a cultural facility, and several power supply lines in the affected area.
At the same time, the Russian Ministry of Defense has reported the downing of 448 drones in various regions of the country, as well as over the waters of the Caspian Sea, the Black Sea, and the Crimean Peninsula, annexed by Moscow in 2014, a move that lacks recognition from the international community.
