At least three Palestinians have lost their lives this Tuesday in a new series of bombings carried out by the Israeli Army against several targets in the north of the Gaza Strip, despite the ceasefire agreed upon in October 2025 as part of the proposal promoted by the United States regarding the future of the coastal enclave.
According to medical sources cited by the Palestinian newspaper "Filastin," one of the deceased is a man identified as Ahmed al Batsh, who died in an attack near a supermarket in the Al Safataui area. The incident also left an unspecified number of injured.
Hours later, the Israeli Army confirmed that, in a joint operation with the internal intelligence service, Shin Bet, "they have neutralized" Batsh, whom they describe as the commander of the Yabalia Battalion of the brigade operating in northern Gaza and integrated into the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).
According to the statement released by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the man held a central position in the management and coordination of the armament of that brigade in the northern sector. He was also attributed with the responsibility of organizing and supervising the supply of military material to the group's members.
The IDF emphasized that "the terrorist promoted plans of terrorism against the IDF forces and the civilians of the State of Israel, and acted to restore the organization's capabilities, systematically violating the ceasefire. The terrorist was neutralized with the aim of eliminating the threat he represented."
Additionally, another man, identified as Yusef Saadín al Zaim, died in a drone attack in the city of Gaza, also in the north of the territory. A third Palestinian, Salé Ramadán al Dabur, 65 years old, died in Yabalia, also in the north of the enclave, with the Israeli Army having offered no comments on these last two cases.
The Israel Defense Forces also reported the death of two "terrorists" from Hamas in attacks carried out on Monday against the city of Gaza, in the north, and against Khan Yunis, in the south.
In relation to the attack in Jan Yunis, the Army identified the deceased as Rafat abú Zamar, "a company commander" of the Islamist group who "led the training of terrorists from the armed wing of Hamas" in preparation for the attacks of October 7, 2023, which caused about 1,200 deaths and nearly 250 kidnappings, according to Israeli authorities.
The target killed in the city of Gaza was identified as Muhamad Hader Fahmi Agur, "an operative of the armed wing of Hamas" who "was involved in the manufacturing of weapons for the organization."
On the other hand, the Gaza Ministry of Health has raised the number of deceased to 1,375 and the number of injured to 4,686 due to Israeli attacks on the Strip since the ceasefire came into effect, including three dead and 27 injured in the last 24 hours.
In a statement released on social media, the Ministry highlighted that rescue teams have recovered 831 bodies in areas from which Israeli forces have withdrawn, now redeployed in the so-called 'Yellow Line', which extends over more than half of the Gazan territory in application of the mentioned agreement.
Finally, the health agency reminded that, since the beginning of the Israeli offensive following the attacks of October 7, 2023, 73,789 "martyrs" and 174,798 injured have been recorded, although it warned that there are still corpses under the rubble and in areas that emergency teams cannot access.
