The Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado has returned to Venezuela after having left the country in December 2025, while Edmundo González has indicated that he will also return "soon".

"I am here. With you," Machado has shared on her social media, thus confirming her presence in Venezuelan territory.

The former presidential candidate of the opposition in the elections held on July 28, 2024, Edmundo González, has also confirmed the return of the leader of the Vente Venezuela party to the country.

"Venezuela! I am very excited to announce to you that our leader, my dear María Corina, is in Venezuelan territory. Today is a very important day for Venezuelans. Our sovereign voice returns with her to lead and guide this process!" he has written on social platforms.

González has added that "very soon I will be with you and with her so that our country truly advances towards freedom." "You know it, this is until the end," he has concluded in his message.
