The Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has claimed this Sunday that the launching of kites, drones, and balloons from the Gaza Strip must be stopped immediately, warning that if this demand is not met, more "selective attacks" and new evacuations of civilians in the affected areas will occur.

In an official statement, Netanyahu emphasized that "Israel warns Hamas that if they do not immediately cease the launches against Israel, the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) will intervene to increase selective attacks against those responsible for the launches and will evacuate the population from the areas used for launching kites, drones, and balloons."

The Israeli leader also stressed that "there will be no return to the situation prior to October 7" of 2023 and insisted that "Israel will not allow the terrorist organization Hamas or any other element from the Gaza Strip to threaten the security of our communities again and undermine the sense of security of our citizens."

The statement, which also bears the signature of the Minister of Defense, Israel Katz, is disseminated after the arrival from Gazan territory of at least four kites to the kibbutz of Nahal Oz. The Israeli Army has indicated that these devices did not contain dangerous elements, although it has reminded that they refer to the incendiary devices launched from Gaza against Israel in previous years.
