The president of Vox, Santiago Abascal, criticized this Thursday the leaders of the Popular Party, Xavier García Albiol and Juanma Moreno, for having censored the insults that the president of Argentina, Javier Milei, directed at the head of the Executive, Pedro Sánchez, whom he called "dictator" and "thief." "This way, it is difficult to end this Government," warned Abascal.

The qualifiers from Milei occurred on Wednesday during his visit to Spain. Throughout the following day, these words received the disapproval of the mayor of Badalona and candidate for Congress for Barcelona, Xavier García Albiol, and the president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, who criticized the manner used by the Argentine leader.

"The PP is already there to be scared," Abascal stated at a rally in Segovia, where he was supported by the vice president of the Junta de Castilla y León, Carlos Pollán, and by the head of the list for the province, Gonzalo Babé. The leader of Vox joked that it was precisely Albiol, "the toughest of the PP," who was one of those who reproached Milei for his expressions.

"This way, it is difficult to end this Government, which is simply not democratic, came to power by lying to the Spaniards, which is to defraud them," he insisted during his speech.

In Abascal's opinion, the controversy generated by Milei's words constitutes "a smokescreen" to evade the debate on issues such as the corruption of the Executive. In his view, another "smokescreen" is "the violence" recorded at Vox events in A Coruña and Avilés the day before, which ended with disturbances, police charges, detainees, and injuries.

Response to the mayor of A Coruña

Abascal also responded to the mayor of A Coruña, Inés Rey, after she stated that Vox came to the Galician city to "provoke." "What does the provocation consist of, do we not have the right to go to Galicia, for the Galicians who vote for us to come and listen to us?" the leader of Vox questioned.

"Do the flags of Spain bother, or is it that she is directly justifying the violence promoted by the Ministry of the Interior, the Government Delegation, and Sánchez himself?" he added, before warning that "the smokescreens will not cease."

During the event, Abascal highlighted the "great mobilization" in the calls of his formation and emphasized that Vox "is the only project that has prospered" in recent years and that, in his opinion, "can become a sustained alternative" over time.

The leader of Vox also reviewed the basic lines of the program with which they are running in the elections on November 29: national priority in public policies, economic deregulation, tax cuts, and "remigration" of illegal immigrants and those legal ones who commit crimes or live off public aid.

In the final part of his speech, Abascal emphasized Ceuta and assured that, if Vox comes to power, it will "recover" the autonomous city "at any cost and with all its consequences." "Let no one dare to claim part of our national territory," he warned, referring to Morocco.

For his part, Carlos Pollán reiterated that "not a single euro of the people of Castile and León will be allocated to manage illegal immigration." In turn, Gonzalo Babé stated that the Government "is a mafia capable of anything" and called for massive participation at the polls. "Not a single vote should be wasted," he concluded.
