The president of the Government of Aragón, Jorge Azcón, insisted this Wednesday that the Department of Deregulation, Social Welfare, and Family, in the hands of Vox, will not participate in the Sectorial Conference on Childhood and Adolescence called to address the distribution of unaccompanied minors from Ceuta, considering that it will solve "very few problems." Furthermore, he stated that he perceives the central Executive as "incapable" of defending the borders and facing the situation in the Autonomous City.
"It is incapable of solving two of the fundamental problems we have at this moment, which are the absolute absence of an immigration policy and the absence of the defense of our borders," Azcón emphasized, in statements to the media during a visit to the scientific dissemination center, Galáctica, in the municipality of Arcos de las Salinas, on the occasion of the total eclipse this Wednesday.
In the words of the Aragonese president, "the Government of Spain should defend the borders as European partners demand, and the Government of Spain should have an immigration policy that does not raise the conflict that is arising within our borders and with European partners."
For this reason, he opined that the Sectorial Conference on Childhood and Adolescence "will contribute little" to what he considers "a bad policy" both in immigration matters and in the protection of borders.
Azcón attributed the absence in this sectorial to a decision by the department controlled by Vox and pointed out that it is "nothing new."
