Vivas will travel to Brussels on Tuesday
The meeting in Madrid will take place on the eve of Vivas's trip to Brussels, where on Tuesday he will be received by the European commissioners for Home Affairs and Migration, Magnus Brunner, and the person responsible for the Mediterranean, Dubravka Suica, in order to analyze the situation of the autonomous city after the migration crisis, defined by the PP as "unprecedented invasion."
During his agenda in the community capital, Vivas will also hold meetings with the president of the European People's Party, Manfred Weber, and with the president of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola.
The PP also emphasizes the mobilizations organized on September 2 in support of Ceuta, with simultaneous gatherings in more than 260 municipalities across Spain.
According to the popular party, hundreds of thousands of citizens participated in these calls in defense of the sovereignty of the autonomous city and the territorial integrity of Spain.
"The gatherings demonstrated that Spaniards are an example of solidarity and commitment in the face of a migratory crisis and border security situation that not only affects the people of Ceuta but concerns the entire State," adds the PP.
