The Podemos candidate for the elections on November 29, Irene Montero, stated this Thursday before the media that in her party they understand that what is "democratic" is for citizens to "be able to listen to and know all the options" present in the political scenario, referring to the exchange of offers regarding electoral debates in 'face to face' format and a four-way debate between PSOE and PP.
Her words come after PSOE has given the green light to a 'face to face' between the socialist candidate for the Presidency of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, and the opposition leader, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, set for November 16 on a private channel, while defending that the four-way debate, with the participation of the leaders of Vox and Frente Amplio, should take place on TVE and not on Atresmedia, as proposed by the PP.
Meanwhile, the 'popular' have rejected that this four-way debate be organized in the public broadcaster and have criticized the "attempted boycott" by the socialists against Atresmedia, emphasizing that it was the channel where "three years ago it was acceptable for Pedro Sánchez to debate." "There will be no four-way debate on RTVE," 'popular' sources have emphasized.
In campaign terms, Montero has emphasized that on November 29 "what is at stake is that people can look up" and that "blaming the problems on the person next to you or on someone below should stop."
