The spokesperson of the PSOE in the Congress of Deputies, Patxi López, reproached this Saturday the president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, for his attacks on the known as grandchild law and claimed: "In Spain we have the most guaranteed, cleanest electoral system, practically in the world."
López launched this message at the Political Conference of the PSPV-PSOE, which is taking place this weekend at the University of Alicante (UA), where he participated in the event titled "Why we were and continue to be necessary?".
His words come after the Supreme Court (TS) agreed to provisionally suspend, until there is a final ruling, the voting rights of people already registered in the Electoral Census of Absentee Residents (CERA) who obtained nationality through that regulation, as well as new registrations, unless they prove to be descendants of Spanish exiles.
In his speech, the socialist leader emphasized that "the last elections" were held applying that law and criticized Vox for claiming that the regulation "perverted the result." In his opinion, making such an accusation constitutes "pure and hard trumpism."
"In Spain we have the most guaranteed, cleanest electoral system, practically in the world, and this character [Feijóo] comes to question it, all because of the frustration he has from not governing," he added, concluding by stating that the president of the PP "does not deserve to govern this country."
