The national president of Vox, Santiago Abascal, will travel to Santander next Wednesday, October 28, where he will make statements to the media as part of the campaign for the general elections on November 29.
According to sources from the formation, who spoke to Europa Press this Thursday, the leader of Vox will attend to journalists at 12:00 hours in the Jardines de Pereda, next to the emblematic stone crane.
In this appearance, in which Abascal will be supported by Cantabrian leaders and candidates for the elections on November 29, it will take place just a few days after the names of Vox leading the lists are made public, with nearly twenty new additions and retaining most of the current members of Congress in the top positions.
Among them is the Vox deputy for Cantabria, Emilio del Valle, who will again lead the candidacy for Congress for the Cantabrian constituency. Following him will be the regional president of the party and spokesperson in the Santander City Council, Laura Velasco, as number two, while the councilor of the formation in Torrelavega, Antonio de la Riva, will occupy the third position on the list.
A week after officially communicating to its heads of list, the president of Vox will return to the Cantabrian capital, when there will be less than a month left for the appointment with the ballot boxes on November 29.
The previous visit of Santiago Abascal to the autonomous community took place on May 15, 2023, when he held a rally at the auditorium of the University of Cantabria, during the campaign for the last regional and municipal elections. A few months earlier, in March, he had already participated in an event held at the Palace of Festivals, also in Santander.
