The Galician Nationalist Bloc (BNG) has demanded this Friday that the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, and the Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, attend Congress to explain the police intervention against the young people who gathered "peacefully" in A Coruña on the night from Wednesday to Thursday during an electoral event of Vox.

The BNG deputy in Congress, Néstor Rego, has described the police operation as "unjustifiable" and has demanded "political responsibilities" for events that, in his opinion, are "incompatible" with the protection of rights and public freedoms.

For this reason, he has requested that Sánchez and Grande-Marlaska appear before the Permanent Deputation of Congress, the only parliamentary body in operation after the dissolution of the Cortes, in order to provide explanations about these "unjustified" police charges and about other similar actions recorded in Madrid, Ceuta, or Zaragoza.

Likewise, this same Friday Podemos, with the support of its current electoral partner, Esquerra Republicana (ERC), has registered another request for an urgent appearance of Sánchez and Grande-Marlaska in the Lower House, in which they also demand the presence, if applicable, of the Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles.
