The Spanish Federation of Food and Beverage Industries (FIAB) has launched the third edition of the Catalog of Financial Instruments to Support the Internationalization of the Food and Beverage Industry. It is a practical guide that compiles and updates the main financial support tools available for companies in the sector to strengthen their presence in foreign markets, as the entity explained in a statement.
This update is published in a scenario marked by greater complexity and uncertainty in global trade, where access to financing continues to be one of the major challenges for many companies seeking to start, consolidate, or expand their international activity.
The catalog is designed to simplify the search for economic resources, allowing firms to identify the different financing alternatives and select those that best fit their specific needs and the stage of their internationalization process. This aims to bolster their competitiveness and growth options abroad.
This initiative is part of the work of the working group on Financial Instruments for the Internationalization of the Spanish Food and Beverage Industry, created within the framework of the Spanish Gastronomy Table of ICEX and coordinated by FIAB.
Among the goals of this group is to strengthen collaboration between the public and private sectors to facilitate the entry and consolidation of companies in international markets, contribute to the reduction of trade barriers, and promote greater awareness of the existing financial mechanisms to support export activity.
The Director of Internationalization and International Trade Policy of FIAB, Verónica Puente, has emphasized the key role of cooperation between administrations and companies in advancing the external opening of the sector. "Having clear, updated, and accessible information about the available financial instruments is essential for companies to face their international projects with greater guarantees," she noted.
The document has been prepared by FIAB in collaboration with ICEX Spain Export and Investments, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, and several specialized organizations in financing and internationalization, including Cesce (Spanish Company of Credit Insurance for Export), ICO (Official Credit Institute), Cofides (Spanish Company for Development Financing), Enisa (National Innovation Company) and Saeca (State Anonymous Company of Agricultural Guarantee). Likewise, the sectoral organizations Avianza, Provacuno, Interovic, OIVE and Interporc have participated.
