Tempos Vega Sicilia takes its first step into the world of golf as a collaborator of the Open de España presented by Madrid, which is held from October 8 to 11 at the Club de Campo Villa de Madrid, where Mandolás and Macán Clásico become the official wines of the championship.

Following its recent presence last spring at the Mutua Madrid Open tennis, the emblematic Spanish winery is driving a strategy focused on bringing its wine references closer to major sporting events with international projection and to broader audiences.

This bet is framed under the slogan "The Earth, our origin," aligning golf with values such as excellence, perseverance, authenticity, and respect for the territory, in addition to the precision, patience, and time necessary to achieve maximum quality productions.

The general director of Macán, Ignacio Calvo de Mora, and the general director of Bodegas Oremus, Róbert Kindl, have emphasized that participation in the Open de España fits naturally into their roadmap. Both leaders highlight that golf and the creation of great wines share a deep respect for the land and a constant pursuit of excellence, which allows for a unique sensory experience at the historic venue of the black course designed by Javier Arana.

Throughout the Open de España golf, Tempos Vega Sicilia has organized its presence in three strategic locations on the course: the VIP Club, the Hoyo 18 Terrace, and a commercial area open to the general public. In the first two locations, specialized sommeliers advise visitors on wine tasting by the glass, while in the commercial area, a pedagogical olfactory proposal is offered through jars and glass bells that allow recognizing the pure essences and characteristic aromas of each wine.

In parallel to the tournament, the references Mandolás - a dry white wine made from Furmint grape from the Tokaj region - and Macán Clásico - made with Tempranillo and Garnacha in La Rioja as a result of the alliance between Benjamin de Rothschild and Vega Sicilia - can be found in wine shops and specialized stores in Madrid such as Mantequerías Bravo, Casa Ortega, En Copa de Balón, and Lavinia.

Additionally, the gastronomic proposal linked to the championship extends to the city, as both wines are served by the glass at the Arzábal restaurant and in the establishments of the Paraguas group, thus transferring the tournament experience to the center of the capital.
