The spokesperson of Compromís in Les Corts, Joan Baldoví, has reiterated that, as of today, there is "no news" regarding the configuration of the candidacy situated to the left of the PSPV in the Comunitat Valenciana for the upcoming regional elections. Despite this, he emphasized that in that election "there will be four ballots and one will be" that of the Valencianist coalition.
This was stated on Tuesday in a press conference after the meeting of spokespersons, in response to questions from the media about the deadlines to finalize that possible confluence of forces at the regional level for the next electoral cycle. "There is no news, now we are talking and 'When it’s time, we will water' and we will say what there is," he pointed out.
In any case, Baldoví has insisted on his conviction that in the upcoming Valencian elections "there will be four ballots and one will be that of Compromís."
Weeks ago, the leader of Compromís had already defended the need to "accelerate" the articulation of that joint candidacy so that, when citizens go to vote in the regional elections next year, "there are only four ballots." "I believe that the Valencians are clear about what the Valencian political landscape is, it is a four-way landscape and, therefore, obviously, we need to accelerate to reach an agreement that satisfies the objectives of having only four ballots at election time," he expressed.
