The PSPV has again criticized the management of the Consell this Sunday by warning that it has left 29 million euros reserved for dependency benefits unused, while the number of people with recognized rights has grown by 12.47 percent in the last year.

This was pointed out in a statement by the spokesperson for Social Services of the PSPV in Les Corts, Silvia Gómez, who has demanded that the Generalitat "fulfill, pay on time, and allocate the budgeted money to guarantee quality social services with real coverage."

In this line, the socialist deputy has emphasized that dependents "cannot continue to be the victims of the fictitious accounts of the Generalitat" and has stressed that "it is the official data from the Consell itself that shows they are abandoning dependent people."

According to her complaint, "The Popular Party is dedicated to inflating the figures of resolved files to sell agility, but the reality is that it recognizes rights on paper while leaving millions of euros intended to make them effective unexecuted."

Gómez has specified that the number of beneficiaries has increased from 172,857 to 194,415 in the last year, which means 21,558 more people, while the actual execution has decreased from 372.98 to 343.84 million euros, that is, 29 million less.

For the parliamentarian, "it is unacceptable that there are 12.5% more people with recognized rights and, at the same time, 29 million euros less executed to attend to them."

The socialist spokesperson for Social Services has reiterated that "recognizing a right is useless if it is not paid afterwards," and has asked Pérez Llorca to "stop the propaganda and focus on managing."

She has also reminded that "behind each figure there is a person and a family that needs a benefit and care, what we demand is simple: that the Consell execute the resources it budgets and guarantee that the recognized rights are real rights."
