The Government Council of the Junta de Andalucía is expected to give the green light this Wednesday, October 14, to a proposed agreement to urge the central Executive to promote the creation of specialized judicial bodies for the instruction of cases linked to drug trafficking and organized crime, as well as to restore OCON-Sur as a specific unit in the fight against drug trafficking.
In this context, it is recalled that a few weeks ago the Andalusian Parliament approved a non-legislative proposal (PNL) from the Popular group demanding that the central Government immediately reactivate the elite unit of the Civil Guard OCON-Sur with a single command, permanent and stable organic structure, with real coordination capacity and with sufficient human and material resources to effectively combat drug trafficking.
Likewise, according to the agenda of the session, consulted by Europa Press, the Andalusian Executive plans to approve a proposal for an Agreement regarding the subsidies from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development aimed at the holders of almond farms affected by the frosts recorded in various Andalusian provinces during the months of March and April 2026.
In the same way, the Government Council will take note of the participation of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development in the XVIII International Fair of the Fruit and Vegetable Sector, as well as the approval of the Program for the Care of Chronic Adipose Tissue Disease in children and adolescents in the Health Services.
In the same meeting, the report from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development on the hydrological situation of the Autonomous Community of Andalusia as of October 14, 2026, will be presented, and a proposal for an agreement will be addressed that sets the maximum amounts of aid per municipality in light of the exceptional situation arising from the seismic series recorded in the province of Granada between August 14, 2026, and September 7, 2026.
These aids are framed within the regulation of compensations to local entities especially affected by adverse natural phenomena or other cases of civil protection emergencies and public disasters. Finally, the Andalusian Executive plans to analyze the draft decree by which the Social Council of the Center for Orientation, Entrepreneurship, Accompaniment, and Innovation for employment of the Autonomous Community of Andalusia is created, and its composition and operating regime are regulated.
