The national spokesperson of the BNG, Ana Pontón, has reiterated that the Galician nationalist formation rejects "any type of violence," while expressing her discomfort because "a left-wing Government ordered charges" this Wednesday in A Coruña, after a protest against a Vox event, against people who "peacefully defend rights and freedoms" against those who "want to steal those rights and freedoms."

According to her denunciation, "there are those who are interested in not hearing the voice of the BNG. We reject any type of violence, we believe in the power of words, in peaceful mobilization, and in the right of people to express their opposition on the streets to an extreme right that wants to take us backward," the leader of the Bloc stated in remarks to the media this Friday.

In this line, Pontón has again demanded explanations from the Government because, in her opinion, "it is very serious" that a "left-wing" Executive orders charges against "thousands of people who peacefully defend rights and freedoms."

She also emphasized that "99.9%" of the attendees at the concentration on Wednesday in the Herculian city came "defending their ideas peacefully" and has described the police interventions as "brutal." "We think it is an action by the central Government that is unacceptable," she concluded.
