The president of the PP management in Navarra, Sergio Sayas, stated this Tuesday that in his party they are "willing to run in the elections with UPN, and we are going to do everything in our power to make that pact happen," making it clear at the same time that with Vox "we can have a post-electoral agreement," but not a coalition to go together to the polls.
In statements to the media at a press conference, held a day after President Pedro Sánchez announced the advance of the general elections to November 29, Sayas indicated that "at a time when citizens are demanding unity from us, political leaders have the obligation" to respond to that request.
When specifically questioned about a possible electoral alliance with Vox, he replied that "the positions have nothing to do with each other, we can have a post-electoral government agreement with Vox, but not an electoral alliance."
"Evidently, the model that Vox has regarding Navarra is different from that of the Popular Party and UPN. That may allow us to agree on some lines of a government, but not an electoral agreement. However, with UPN we can have, without any problem, an electoral agreement," he emphasized.
