The spokesperson for Vox in the Assembly of Extremadura, Inés Checa, has emphasized that in the General Budgets project of Extremadura (PGEx) for 2027, the presence of her party in the regional government is "noted," and she has insisted that these accounts follow "exactly the same line" as those of 2026, based on the defense of "first always" of the nationals.
"These budgets for 2027 carry exactly the same line as the budgets for 2026 and, therefore, as is known, for Vox, first always are our own and they will continue to be so," she pointed out, referring to accounts that "demonstrate" that the "commitments" of her party "translate into concrete items."
After stressing that "when Vox governs, it shows," Checa has insisted that the accounts for 2027 respond to the priorities of her party and "lower taxes, support families, protect the countryside, strengthen public services, and help those who work, undertake, and generate wealth."
In a press conference following the registration this Friday of the PGEx 2027 in the regional Chamber, she defended that these are "even better budgets than those of 2026," after "in just six months of Vox government, here in Extremadura, an accumulated reduction of one point in the IRPF has been achieved."
"Vox committed, Vox agreed, and Vox is fulfilling. And we do not stop here. These budgets are still better than those of 2026," Checa stated, who has linked the presence of her party in the regional government to the fact that, she emphasizes, Extremadura now has "the lowest IRPF in all of Spain."
"Today Extremadura has the lowest IRPF in all of Spain thanks to Vox. And Santiago Abascal already said that Extremadura was going to be the region with the lowest tax burden in Spain. And thanks to Vox, today we are making this commitment a reality," she added, while emphasizing that the "commitment to the people of Extremadura (from Vox) is clear and this will be reflected in the accounts for the upcoming year 2027."
STRONG SOCIAL SERVICES
Among the concrete measures, she has highlighted that the PGEx 2027 seeks to improve the quality of life of the people of Extremadura with "strong" social services, while promoting health, birth rates, and education, and maintaining the tax reduction. As an example, she recalled that the eco-tax is reduced by 30 percent, a commitment included in the government agreement signed between Vox and the PP in Extremadura.
In the field of housing, it has been highlighted that new tax deductions are being incorporated to promote rental and rehabilitation of vacant properties, because "against those who intend to intervene in the market and impose more obstacles, Vox bets on facilitating the availability of more homes."
Checa has specified that public services are also being reinforced, with 15 million euros allocated to primary care, 69 million for health infrastructure, and 117 million for improvement actions, service expansion, and aid to Sepad.
At the same time, she has pointed out that support is provided to those who generate wealth and employment with 750,000 euros to facilitate generational change, new support lines for self-employed individuals, and a budget of half a million euros aimed at boosting the defense industry.
AREAS OF GOVERNMENT OF VOX
Regarding the ministries managed by Vox in the Junta de Extremadura, Inés Checa has reiterated that these budgets "demonstrate" that the "commitments" of her party "translate into concrete allocations."
In family policy, she explained that the commitment to birth rates and work-life balance is maintained, doubling the birth aid from 1.5 million to three million euros, with the goal of establishing a 500 euro aid per birth. Additionally, an extra half a million euros is incorporated to strengthen the work-life balance service. "Because for Vox, family is not a slogan, it is a priority and we want forming a family in Extremadura to be increasingly easier," she emphasized.
Regarding the countryside, "the heart of Extremadura," she indicated that "it is once again the protagonist, as it could not be otherwise," so the allocation for animal health and vaccination is doubled to reach 3 million euros, in order to strengthen the protection of the livestock and guarantee the free provision of vaccines.
She added that a "firm commitment" to agricultural insurance is maintained, endowed with 11 million euros, and that the Agricultural Compensation Fund is doubled, which now amounts to 4 million euros.
Likewise, as "another commitment that is fundamental," Checa has highlighted that the irrigation of Tierra de Barros will have in the PGEx 2027 20 million euros from the autonomous community's own funds. In this way, he has assured that its financing "is guaranteed." "Against so many years of announcements and promises, with Vox we are advancing to turn this historical demand into a reality, because when Vox governs, it shows," he concluded.
