The service reviews flights from the last five years in one minute and only charges a commission if the claim succeeds

ByteTravel (BME Growth: BYTE), a Spanish company of travel auxiliary services, has launched JetDue, its new platform for claiming compensation for air incidents. JetDue allows any passenger to check whether a delayed, canceled, or denied boarding flight entitles them to compensation, and to manage the claim at no initial cost.

European Regulation EC 261/2004 sets compensation of 250, 400, or 600 euros per passenger depending on the distance of the flight, to which the rights of the Montreal Convention are added. Even so, according to the European Consumer Organisation (BEUC), only 38% of passengers entitled to compensation end up receiving it, and pending compensations in Europe total 3.2 billion euros.

"A delay of several hours or a cancellation is already punishment enough for a traveler. With JetDue we want getting what corresponds to them to be fast, secure, and without fine print," says Axel Serena, Chief Executive Officer of ByteTravel.

From the app or the web, the user scans their flights or connects their calendar, and the system analyzes their history from the last five years in around one minute. An artificial intelligence layer assesses each incident. After the digital signing of the assignment of the claim right, a specialized legal team processes the claim out of court and, if necessary, in court.

"We have built JetDue with the rigor of an insurer so that the passenger does not have to worry about anything else. We take care of the entire process, from start to finish," adds Anas Mahboub, Product Director of JetDue.

The model is based on a success fee: JetDue charges nothing upfront and, if the airline does not pay, the passenger assumes no cost.
