The initiative brought together experts in quality and environment in seven meetings to address regulatory changes and transition deadlines following the launch of the new ESG INNOVA ONE platform
Quality and environmental management has entered a new stage following the update of two of the most widely used international standards. On September 16, 2026, the sixth edition of ISO 9001:2026 was published, replacing the 2015 version. This standard joins ISO 14001:2026, published on April 15, 2026. In light of this scenario, ISOTools, the ESG Innova line specialized in ISO management systems, organized a series of in-person events during the month of September framed in its ISO NEXT cycle.
The sessions took place in the cities of Monterrey (Mexico), Bogotá (Colombia), Lima (Peru), CDMX (Mexico), Santiago (Chile), Medellín (Colombia), and Buenos Aires (Argentina). In total, the seven meetings held managed to gather more than 1800 professionals from the sector, including quality managers, environmental managers, auditors, and consultants. The sessions featured the collaboration of certifying entities such as TUV NÖRD, ICONTEC, AENOR, and Bureau Veritas, and combined technical analysis with practical demonstrations on digitalization and artificial intelligence applied to management systems.
Among the novelties of ISO 9001:2026, a greater emphasis on leadership and ethical behavior was highlighted, as well as the adoption of the latest Harmonized Structure of ISO to facilitate system integration. Clear deadlines were also established: organizations with ISO 9001:2015 have until September 30, 2029, to make the transition, while new accredited certifications must be carried out under the 2026 version starting from March 31, 2028.
For its part, ISO 14001:2026 expands the environmental context, including aspects such as biodiversity, ecosystem health, and the availability of natural resources. For this standard, the transition period ends on April 30, 2029, and from October 31, 2027, new certifications will be issued exclusively with the 2026 version. The adoption of the Harmonized Structure allows both processes to be addressed jointly.
The ISO NEXT cycle represents the first major action of ESG Innova after the launch of its new corporate identity and the platform ESG INNOVA ONE. This technological solution centralizes the group's tools and uses artificial intelligence to automate operational processes and analyze data in real time, facilitating adaptation to new regulatory demands.
ESG Innova is an international group with more than 25 years of experience and presence in more than 30 countries. Its activity is divided into four lines of business: ESGTools, GRCTools, ISOTools, and HSETools, focused on the digital transformation of public and private organizations.
