Aldesa has secured a new contract in Mexico for an amount of 659 million Mexican pesos (33 million euros) to carry out the construction of two tunnels on a stretch of the road that connects Palenque with Ocosingo, in the state of Chiapas.
The works of both projects, tendered by the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport on the Palenque-San Cristóbal de las Casas route, have an estimated execution period of around 17 months.
The first of the tunnels, 320 meters long, will be executed by Proacon Mexico, a subsidiary of the Aldesa Group specialized in large underground infrastructures, as detailed by the company in a statement.
The second tunnel, with a length of 200 meters, has been awarded jointly to Grupo Aldesa in Mexico, Constructora de Caminos Chiapas, and to the Consortium of Construction Engineers and Consultants.
Both projects include construction work on portals, earthworks, drainage works, paving, and electrical and lighting installations, among other technical elements.
This award reinforces Aldesa's presence in Mexico, one of its strategic markets in Latin America, and consolidates its international expansion in the field of transport infrastructures.
With more than 50 years of experience on three continents, Aldesa is currently controlled by Chinese capital and continues to increase its participation in large infrastructure projects.
