Bankinter Investment has announced the launch of a public takeover bid (OPA) on the socimi Atom Hoteles, in an operation that means valuing the company at 510 million euros, according to what the entity announced this Friday.
The proposal extends to all of Atom's shareholders, who may choose to tender all or part of their shares in the OPA to realize liquidity on their investment, or else retain their position in the company's capital.
The amount offered amounts to 15.79 euros per share, a figure that places the valuation of the hotel socimi at 510 million euros. The operation includes a premium over the value of the assets as of October 30, once the appropriate adjustments have been made.
The OPA is channeled through Bankinter Investment's private equity fund (FIL), with the support of other co-investors. Both Bankinter Investment and GMA have expressed their willingness to individually maintain holdings above 5%, and the active management of the socimi will continue in the hands of both firms.
The acceptance period for the offer is expected to begin on November 2 and run until December 4, 2026, while settlement is set for December 18, in accordance with the published schedule and conditional on compliance with the transaction requirements.
Atom Hoteles, a vehicle created in 2018, has so far distributed 246.4 million euros among its shareholders, a figure that represents 75.2% of the capital originally contributed, so this OPA is configured as a new liquidity window for the owners.
At present, Atom's portfolio is made up of 20 hotel establishments, with more than 5,100 rooms and an asset value of 830.9 million euros.
