FCC Ámbito, the subsidiary of the FCC group focused on the management of industrial and commercial waste, has closed the purchase of 100% of Rymoil, along with all its shares in "Aprochim Getesarp Rymoil (AGR)" and "AGR Catalysts Recovery (AGR-CR)". Both companies carry out their activities in the Logrezana Industrial Park, in the municipality of Carreño (Asturias).
This operation is part of FCC Ámbito's roadmap to continue growing in highly specialized industrial niches and to expand its catalog of decontamination, recovery, and management services for waste of high technical complexity.
With the integration of Rymoil, AGR, and AGR-CR, the group incorporates new capabilities in areas such as the maintenance and control of dielectric oils, the treatment and decontamination of transformers, the regeneration of industrial oils, the recovery of spent catalysts to recover metals of industrial interest, and the remediation services for contaminated soils.
Thanks to these business lines, it is possible to recover high-value materials from complex industrial waste and reintegrate them into the supply chain as new resources for the industry. At the same time, the specialized treatment of equipment and oils contaminated with polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) facilitates the safe disposal of these compounds and minimizes the waste that ends up in landfills.
The activity of the Rymoil group maintains a close link with the recovery of key raw materials for the European industrial fabric. A significant portion of the metals obtained in its processes is listed in the "European Regulation on Critical Raw Materials," a regulation that seeks to strengthen the strategic autonomy of the European Union and ensure the supply of essential materials for the energy and digital transitions.
