Ferrovial plans to withdraw its listing from the Amsterdam stock exchange starting in September, a market to which it moved its headquarters in 2023 with the aim of facilitating its IPO in the United States, once a greater number of the company's shares are traded in this country than in Spain.
In detail, the last trading day on Euronext Amsterdam has been set for September 10, 2026, while the definitive exclusion from this Dutch market will come into effect on September 11, 2026, according to the group chaired by Rafael del Pino communicated to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).
The company will continue to be listed on the Nasdaq in New York and on the Spanish stock exchanges, where average trading volumes of 59.21% and 40.63% are maintained, respectively. Likewise, it will retain its headquarters in the Netherlands and will continue to be subject to the regulatory and corporate governance framework of this country.
"This measure is aligned with Ferrovial's long-term strategy and with the interests of its stakeholders, while simplifying the company's listing structure and seeking to improve the efficiency of its stock profile," argues the company.
After three years of presence on Euronext Amsterdam and two since its debut on Nasdaq, the increase in liquidity in the U.S. market and in the Spanish markets has caused a redistribution of the trading volume of Ferrovial's shares among the different markets in which it is listed.
Currently, Euronext Amsterdam, Ferrovial's second reference stock exchange in Europe, barely accounts for 0.15% of the total average daily volume traded in the stock, which is why the group maintains that keeping its presence in this Dutch market "is not justified."
