MADRID, 23 (EUROPA PRESS)

The hotel chain Hilton Worldwide Holdings has announced that it will move the trading of its ordinary shares from the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) to the Nasdaq market, where it will begin trading from the opening of the session on November 5, maintaining its usual stock code "HLT," according to the multinational in a statement.

Until the market closes on November 4, the company's shares will continue to be traded on the New York Stock Exchange, without shareholders needing to carry out any procedures regarding their holdings.

The president and CEO of Hilton, Chris Nassetta, has linked this change to the technological advancement of the group, emphasizing that the 'asset-light' business model, the commitment to Artificial Intelligence applied to travel planning, and the updating of its digital platform align the hotelier with the growth and innovation standards that characterize the Nasdaq index.

Furthermore, the president and CEO of Nasdaq, Adena Friedman, has expressed her welcome to the company on the tech floor.

Since its return to the markets in 2013 after its time under the Blackstone fund, Hilton has gone from 10 to 28 brands, expanding its global presence to over 9,400 hotels, with 1.38 million rooms spread across 144 countries, a development pipeline of 541,300 rooms, and a base that exceeds 260 million members in its loyalty program "Hilton Honors."

The company has specified that this change of trading market will not entail modifications to its corporate strategy, its capital allocation priorities, or its financial and operational commitments.
