The Once Mil Mexico, recognized as the only taquería on the planet with a Michelin star, has been distinguished as Best Taquería at the MexBest Awards 2026, organized by Sal La Fina, according to a statement.
This award highlights the trajectory of a project that has taken the concept of taquería to a new gastronomic level, maintaining its essence intact, with the taco as the central axis, the utmost care for the product, and "a unique way of understanding hospitality."
Created in Mexico City by César de la Parra and Jimena Gutiérrez, later joined by Enrique Glennie, La Once Mil has forged a singular personality, based on nixtamalized corn tortillas, salsas prepared daily, and a proposal that combines technical precision with a careful selection of ingredients such as Japanese Wagyu A5, rib eye, and Black Angus.
In 2026, La Once Mil achieved a new milestone by obtaining a Michelin star at the gala of the Michelin Guide Mexico, held in Guadalajara. This award consolidates it as the only taquería in the world with this recognition and has boosted its international projection.
As a result of that expansion, last September La Once Mil began its journey in Spain with the opening in Madrid of its first location outside Mexico, located at Plaza de las Salesas 11 and managed in collaboration with Los 33.
