The authorities of India have reported this Friday an attack against a tanker in which 15 Indian sailors were traveling while crossing the Strait of Hormuz, although they have specified that there have been no casualties.

The ship, identified as "MT ST 3", was "hit by a projectile in the Strait of Hormuz", according to the Minister of Maritime Transport, Sarbanand Sonowal, through his accounts on social media.

This episode adds to the one recorded on Wednesday, when the "chemical tanker 'YARA J'" was hit by a drone in the Black Sea, near the coast of Romania, with nine crew members on board, also of Indian nationality.

The minister has emphasized that the 24 Indian citizens involved in both incidents "are safe" and that there have been no fatalities or injuries.

"We are closely monitoring both situations and maintaining close contact with the managing companies of the ships to ensure the ongoing safety and well-being of our crew members," added the head of Maritime Transport.
