The authorities of Nepal have communicated this Friday the finding alive of one of the three Spanish citizens who remained missing after the violent flood that devastated the district of Rasuwa, in the border area with China.
According to the information disseminated by the Nepal Tourism Board, one of the three Spanish tourists whose trail had been lost has been located alive, within the emergency operations that have allowed to save 121 foreign tourists.
In its most recent report, the office has specified that there are still 622 tourists pending to be located after the disaster. Of them, 473 are of foreign nationality and, among this group, Indian citizens predominate, with 98 people.
The Nepalese authorities have raised this Friday to 538 the balance of deceased due to the serious flood recorded on Wednesday, caused by the rise of the Bhotekoshi River.
The total number of people rescued stands at 3,742, within the framework of a broad search and rescue operation in which the National Authority for Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (NDRRMA, for its acronym in English) has emphasized the participation of six Army helicopters and another nine belonging to private companies.
