The Houthi militias launched a new attack this Saturday against the King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, which would have caused several injuries, the partial evacuation of the facilities, and the cancellation of certain commercial flights.

For the moment, the official version is limited and is reduced to the dissemination of a "Travel Alert for passengers from Riyadh" in which travelers are urged to "contact each airline directly and confirm the flight before heading to the airport."

Despite the scarcity of official data, various international media have reported fires caused by the impact of projectiles launched by the Houthis, which would have forced the evacuation of Terminal 3 of the airfield after a "direct impact" that has left several injured, according to 'The Wall Street Journal.'

These reports also detail the deployment of ambulances and helicopters to transport the injured to King Fahad Hospital in Riyadh. Witnesses at the scene have described loud explosions and columns of smoke in the vicinity of the airport.

Information disseminated by Kuwait Airways has also been confirmed, which has announced the cancellation of two flights to Riyadh due to "security issues that have forced the airport to close."

In parallel, countries such as Canada, Germany, and Ireland have issued security advisories recommending their nationals not to use the airport in the Saudi capital. Canada, in particular, warns of "military activity" in the area.

This new attack occurs just a few days after another incident recorded last Thursday, in which three people died, including a pilot from the Saudi flag carrier Saudia, and in which an aircraft was completely destroyed.
