The president of Navarra and general secretary of the PSN, María Chivite, has urged this Saturday to make the citizens "react" in the face of a "decisive appointment for the future and for the model of society we want to build." At the same time, she has warned about the strategy of UPN, which "has opted to pact with the PP and get closer to Vox, evidencing that the right is willing to understand itself with the far-right to gain power."
Chivite has led the Navarre delegation that participated this Saturday in the Federal Committee of the PSOE held in Fuenlabrada. In this meeting, the PSN has highlighted "the strength of a party that has a project, team, and strength to face the upcoming elections with ambition, confidence, and a majority vocation." According to what they emphasize in a press release, the Navarre socialists arrive at the general elections "with unity, strength, and mobilization to defend the advances made and continue building a Navarra and a Spain with more rights, more opportunities, and better public services."
María Chivite has emphasized that "it is important that we make the citizens react, because what we have today may not be there tomorrow. Rights, social advances, and policies that improve people's lives are not guaranteed; they must be defended and we must continue working to expand them." In addition, she has stressed that the PSN "is going out to defend everything that has been achieved, but also to offer a horizon for the future."
From the socialist formation, they have recalled that on November 29 "we decide what model of country we want and on what pillars we want to sustain it." In this line, they have put in the foreground "the socialist model," which "combines growth with cohesion, progress, and protection, and in which the public is a lever for development that guarantees equality of opportunities." It is a model that "places people at the center of public policies and understands that economic progress only makes sense if it translates into well-being, rights, and opportunities for all citizens."
María Chivite has warned, likewise, that "polarization and permanent confrontation cannot become the norm of political life." "Polarization feeds the extremes and weakens democracy. As a party, we must defend the strength of institutions and the decency and dignity of politics. Against those who seek to divide and confront citizens, the PSOE represents responsibility, coexistence, and the will to continue advancing," she has pointed out.
In the case of Navarra, she has emphasized that "this difference of models is also evident in the strategy of UPN," which "has chosen to pact with the PP and approach Vox, evidencing that the right is willing to understand itself with the far right to gain power."
Chivite has defended that "the PSOE is a resilient party that has demonstrated that it is possible to grow, generate opportunities, and expand rights at the same time, and that is what we want to continue doing." For this reason, the PSN has called to "work united, with determination and confidence in a collective project that has equality, social justice, and the improvement of people's lives as its main hallmarks."
"On November 29, it will be decided whether Navarra and Spain continue advancing in rights, opportunities, and well-being or if the door is opened to those who want to take steps back," they have concluded.
