The spokesperson of the PNV in Congress, Maribel Vaquero, will repeat as number one of the jeltzale candidacy for Congress for Guipúzcoa. In Biscay, the list will be headed by deputy Idoia Sagastizabal and, in Álava, the former mayor of Vitoria-Gasteiz, Gorka Urtaran, will lead the slate. As for the Senate, the heads of the list will be, for Biscay, Nerea Ahedo; for Guipúzcoa, Luke Uribe-Etxebarria; and for Álava, Saray Zarate.

The Euzkadi Buru Batzar (EBB) of the PNV launched last Wednesday, as a matter of urgency, the internal procedure to designate the candidates who will be part of the lists with which the jeltzale formation will compete in the general elections on November 29. The proposals were unanimously endorsed this Saturday by the Extraordinary National Assembly held in Bilbao.

As had been anticipated, Maribel Vaquero —spokesperson in Congress— will head the list for Guipúzcoa to the Lower House. In Biscay, the candidacy will be led by deputy Idoia Sagastizabal and, in Álava, the first position will be occupied by the former mayor of Vitoria-Gasteiz, Gorka Urtaran.

In the list for Guipúzcoa to Congress, after Maribel Vaquero is the former mayor of San Sebastián, Eneko Goia, in second place, and in third place Olatz Peon. In Biscay, the number two will be Igotz Lopez, followed by Nerea Renteria. In Álava, after Urtaran is Ibone Santos and the third position is occupied by Txerra Molinuevo.

As for the PNV lists for the Senate, for Biscay the candidacies will be composed, in this order, of Nerea Ahedo, Kepa Lambarri, and María Dolores Etxano. In Guipúzcoa, the trio consists of Luke Uribe-Etxebarria, Bittori Zabala, and Xabier Insausti, while in Álava Saray Zarate, Angel Marcos, and Arantza Yarza are presented.

NAVARRA

The National Assembly has also validated this Saturday the lists for Congress and the Senate for Navarra. Javier Ollo will head the candidacy for the Lower House, followed by Aitana Duque and Amaiur Guindeo.

The number one for the Senate for Navarra will be Anika Luján, followed by Juanjo Ausan and Blanca Regúlez. The jeltzale formation will compete in the Foral Community within the Geroa Bai coalition, so the final list will be set after a negotiation process among the forces that make up Geroa Bai.

During the presentation of the candidacies, the president of the PNV, Aitor Esteban, stated that "they are the best women, the best men, the best people" that the party can "send to Madrid to take care of Euskadi, to take care of the future of all the Basque citizens." "Because there is a lot at stake today in Madrid," he pointed out.
