The leader of the PP and candidate for the Presidency of the Government, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has demanded this Wednesday that the head of the Executive, Pedro Sánchez, attend the Permanent Deputation of Congress to explain the incursion of Moroccan military vessels in the waters of Ceuta, coinciding with the days of the massive entry of immigrants at the end of July. At the same time, he indicated that this matter has already been brought to the attention of the National Court, since his party is a party to the case.

"The Government knew and the president went on vacation. And, moreover, he hid it from the Cortes Generales, from the people of Ceuta, and from the rest of the Spaniards. There are no words to describe it," Feijóo declared in a recorded video that the PP has sent to the media.

For this reason, Feijóo has demanded that Sánchez appear before the Permanent Deputation —the body that replaces the Plenary in non-ordinary session periods and once the Cortes are dissolved— to clarify the entry of Moroccan vessels into Ceuta's waters.

He will bring the matter to the PPE in Brussels

In Feijóo's opinion, the information about the presence of Moroccan navy vessels in Spanish waters has "extraordinary gravity." "What happened is not just another scandal, it is the negligent and unforgivable abandonment of 80,000 Spaniards by the one who had the obligation to protect them," he emphasized.

The PP leader has announced that, in addition to presenting this case to his European partners at the meeting he will hold this Thursday in Brussels with the leaders of the PPE, his party has already formally reported it to the National Court, where the PP is a party to the case.
