The leader of the Popular Party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, is scheduled to attend the rally called in Madrid on September 2 in support of Ceuta and the protection of Spain's borders. This has been indicated by sources from the PP, following the massive entry of immigrants from Morocco recorded at the end of July and the subsequent claims from the neighboring country regarding the autonomous cities.
This event in the capital adds to the rallies promoted in all the municipalities of the country and which, according to these same sources, the PP "is going to support with full intensity." Given the complicated situation that Ceuta is going through, the president of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) and mayor of Jerez, María José García-Pelayo, announced on August 25, during her visit to the autonomous city, the holding of rallies on September 2 at 8:00 PM in front of the doors of the town halls across Spain.
In these mobilizations in "defense of Spain's borders in general and of the city of Ceuta and the Ceutíes in particular," it is expected that all members of the National Directorate of the PP will be actively involved.
According to 'popular' sources, at the head of the party's representation will be Alberto Núñez Feijóo, who will attend the event that will be held in the city of Madrid.
Vox, for its part, called on its supporters yesterday to also gather on September 2 in front of the town halls to show their rejection of the "invasion" of Ceuta and support the autonomous city, following the massive arrival of immigrants from Morocco.
Under the slogan 'No to the invasion. Defend Ceuta. Defend Spain', the formation led by Santiago Abascal specifies that the rallies will be held at 8:00 PM.
"No to the invasion! We encourage all our supporters and voters to attend this call in front of their town halls. Defend Ceuta. Defend Spain," Vox has published on its account on the social network X. Abascal himself shared this message again.
