The MEP and Podemos candidate for the 29N, Irene Montero, has pointed out that her party intends to continue "seeking agreements in more territories" after the pact sealed this Thursday in the Canary Islands for the leftist forces to present themselves jointly in the general elections on the upcoming November 29.
In a post on the social network 'X', reported by Europa Press, Montero explained that "We have reached an agreement with Nueva Canarias, IU, and other parties to present ourselves together in the elections," and detailed that the united candidacy will be named "Unity of the Canary People."
The leader of Podemos has expressed her recognition to the "comrades" involved in the negotiation of this understanding and emphasized that "it is the way." Furthermore, the former Minister of Equality highlighted "We continue," just hours before the deadline to finalize a possible agreement with Frente Amplio with the aim of also running jointly.
On the other hand, this Monday Podemos made public a pact with Esquerra Republicana to run in coalition in Catalonia, which includes that the head of the list, Gabriel Rufián, collaborates with Montero in the rest of the country during the electoral campaign.
