The spokesperson of the PSOE in Congress, Patxi López, has acknowledged this Tuesday that he does not like "absolutely anything" about the preparation of lists to classify people, regarding the information that indicates that the Ministry of the Interior would have prepared a dossier with journalists ordered according to their political ideologies.
According to what was published by 'El Confidencial', the Interior would have prepared a confidential report in which dozens of active journalists are ideologically categorized, incorporating data about their political tendency and other aspects, such as their stance regarding the State Security Forces and on various current issues.
Questioned about the existence of these lists, López has been emphatic: "I do not like absolutely any list that classifies anyone: neither by their thought, nor by their ideology, nor by their race, nor by anything." Furthermore, he has emphasized that he trusts that the department headed by Fernando Grande-Marlaska will provide the pertinent explanations regarding this case.

At the same time, the deputy spokesperson of Sumar and deputy of Compromís in Congress, Alberto Ibáñez, has announced in a press conference that he will use his question to the minister in the control Plenary this Thursday, focused on the assaults on journalists during demonstrations in support of Ceuta, to demand explanations on why "journalists are ideologically classified."
Both Ibáñez and the deputy of Más Madrid, Tesh Sidi, have described the preparation of this type of dossiers on information professionals as "serious," understanding that they violate "press freedom."
"If those reports are certified, it is very serious, it is something very common in the bipartisanship of this country, which is to supervise and review what your adversaries do instead of addressing the problems of the people," Sidi has emphasized, who, however, has pointed out that she does not have confirmation about the authenticity of the document attributed to the Interior.
