Vox has filed a complaint against the Government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, whom it accuses of, in its view, "not protecting its electoral event in Ferrol against the boycott by Galiza Nova". It attributes to the instigators of the counterprotest, among others, an alleged hate crime.

This is stated in the filed document and in a note sent to the media, in which it affirms that "the lack of action by the Government delegations in the face of harassment of Vox events is repeated from A Coruña to Mahón, Avilés or Zamora".

Specifically, the party has filed a complaint before the Court of First Instance of Ferrol against the Government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, as well as against the heads of the Government Delegation and Subdelegation in A Coruña "for not guaranteeing the electoral event" that the party held on Saturday, October 31, on Cantón Molins street, with the participation of the head of Vox's delegation in the European Parliament, Jorge Buxadé, who had already publicly announced the filing of this legal action.

According to Vox, the party "communicated the event in due time and form and expressly requested the protection of the State Security Forces and Corps". "One day earlier, Galiza Nova and other groups called, in the same place and half an hour earlier, a gathering with the declared objective of stopping it".

"The Delegation knew it", the party emphasizes, recalling the previous incidents in A Coruña. "Even so, it did not ban the counterdemonstration or change its place or time, as article 10 of the Organic Law regulating the right of assembly allows it to do, nor did it ensure that the event took place normally".

The complaint attributes to the Government delegate an electoral offense, an offense against civic rights under article 542 of the Penal Code, by omission, and an offense of administrative prevarication.

To the organizers of the counterdemonstration it imputes a hate crime and another against the right of assembly, in addition to any injuries and damages that may result. And against the convening associations, with Galiza Nova in the first place, Vox expressly demands criminal liability as legal persons.

In Ferrol, Jorge Buxadé directly pointed to the Government of Pedro Sánchez and the Interior Minister, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, as responsible for Vox events not taking place normally. "This does not happen in any modern European democracy, it is inadmissible", he said.
