Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) will be present from November 3 to 5 in a new edition of the Tomorrow Mobility World Congress, which will be held at the Gran Via venue of Fira de Barcelona, where it will have a shared stand together with other entities linked to the Department of Territory of the Generalitat.
During the three days of the congress, FGC will present "different projects, services and initiatives related to its activity in the fields of mobility and sustainable transport", according to what the company explained this Monday in a statement.
The exhibition space will have various audiovisual and interactive resources to facilitate access to information for attendees, as well as a virtual reality proposal in which "a trip to Montserrat combined with the rack railway can be enjoyed".
New services starting in 2027
The general director of Ferrocarrils, Alicia Valle, will speak at the congress opening ceremony, and the company will promote two sessions open to the public at the Department stand, focused on two of the new services that the operator will assume starting in 2027.
On November 4, a round table has been scheduled on the Tramvia del Camp de Tarragona project, with the participation of the Deputy Director of Railway Mobility in the Territory of FGC, Mayte Castillo, while on November 5 a session dedicated to the future of the Lleida-Terrassa (Barcelona) line service managed by Ferrocarrils will be held, with the intervention of the manager of FGC Rail, Ramon Vall.
The Tomorrow Mobility World Congress is "one of the main international meeting points for innovation in mobility", is jointly organized by EIT Urban Mobility and Fira de Barcelona and brings together representatives of cities, companies, start-ups, investors, researchers and public officials.
