The socialist procurator for Burgos, Luis Briones, has demanded this Tuesday that the Junta de Castilla y León include a specific financial allocation in the 2027 regional budget project intended for the Eastern Variant of Aranda (Burgos), an infrastructure that, he has emphasized, was promised 17 years ago.

In his speech in the Cortes, Briones criticized the lack of progress on this road project and pointed to the person in charge of Mobility, Cristina Sanchidrián, as the fifth counselor he addresses on this same issue for Aranda de Duero. "Stop rambling and selling smoke, tell the truth, get to work and fulfill it for once," concluded the socialist parliamentarian, demanding a firm commitment with a date in the Community's accounts.

For her part, Sanchidrián defended that the so-called outer ring road is not paralyzed and emphasized that the Ministry already has the drafted project, valued at more than 11 million euros, to execute a connection of almost three kilometers. As she detailed, it is a "particularly complex" action because it involves the construction of a new bridge over the Duero River.

The counselor also added that, unlike the Government of Spain, the Junta de Castilla y León has kept the environmental impact declaration of the work in force, with the aim of not having to restart the entire administrative procedure associated with it.
