CaixaBank has informed that it has already completed 63.81% of its share buyback program, corresponding to the twenty-third week since it launched this initiative last May for a total amount of 500 million euros, as it communicated this Friday to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).
Since the beginning of the plan, the entity has allocated more than 319 million euros to the acquisition of just over 26 million own shares.
In the last computed week, the bank has repurchased 835,893 shares, for a value exceeding 10 million euros.
The share buyback program has a maximum validity period of six months, although CaixaBank has the option to conclude it earlier if the set monetary limit is reached or if any circumstance advises doing so. BNP Paribas acts as the managing entity of the plan.
The entity is subject to the restriction of not exceeding 25% of the average daily trading volume of its shares in the market where the purchase is made in any trading session.
The buyback operations are being executed in the Continuous Market, as well as on the DXE Europe, Turquoise Europe, and Aquis Exchange platforms.
