A total of 15 Latin American 'scaleups' will be part of the fifth edition of "Spain Latam Scale Up," the initiative promoted by ICEX, Endeavor Spain, and BID Lab, the 'venture' of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), whose objective is to connect companies from Latin America with the Spanish technological and business ecosystem to support their landing and growth in Europe.
As detailed by ICEX in a statement, this call has reached a record of 326 applications, raising the total to more than 1,300 companies that have submitted their candidacy throughout all editions. During this time, more than 70 'scaleups' from 17 countries in the Latin American region have been selected.
The 15 selected companies stand out for their scaling and internationalization potential, having raised nearly 45 million dollars (40.2 million euros) in funding and already operating in more than 25 markets. Their activities focus on areas such as AI, digital health, logistics, sustainability, mobility, and energy transition.
The companies come from Colombia (5), Chile (4), Argentina (3), Bolivia (2), and El Salvador (1). The immersion program will take place from October 12 to 20 and, for the first time, will include stops in Madrid, Barcelona, and Valencia, thus expanding the participants' access to three of the main Spanish innovation and entrepreneurship 'hubs.'
Among the selected is SimpliRoute (Chile), focused on last-mile optimization through AI; Boxful (El Salvador), a logistics platform for e-commerce; and DeltaX (Bolivia), dedicated to the digitalization of transport and fleet management.
From Argentina, Avedian participates, applying AI to hospital management, while Pegasi (Chile) has brought its health solutions to more than 230,000 patients. At the same time, Samay (Colombia) develops technology for the early detection of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
The list is completed with Beeok (Chile), specialized in sustainability and decarbonization; Cromodata (Argentina), a health data platform; Dapper (Colombia), focused on technology for public affairs and regulation; Datawalt (Chile), centered on business analysis; and Decimetrix (Colombia), an expert in energy transition.
Finally, Ellie Care (Argentina), dedicated to teleassistance; MOBI Latam (Bolivia), which promotes electric mobility solutions; Mutaworld (Colombia), focused on waste management; and TicSocial (Colombia), technology for the management of chronic and high-cost patients, also participate.
