At least 33 people have lost their lives and about twenty more have been injured after an attack by the Russian Army in the Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk, in eastern Ukraine, the majority of the victims after the projectile hit two buses.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine has detailed that there are 30 deceased from the Russian attack with a guided bomb model D-30 SN UMPB, which fell at 10:00 local time on two buses, while three other people have died as a result of a bombing in the nearby town of Bilenke.
On social media, the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, has echoed what happened, although at the time of his message the number of fatalities had not yet been updated. In addition to condemning the attack in Kramatorsk, he has denounced other deadly Russian offensives launched in recent hours in different areas of the country.
While Zelensky has once again thanked those partners "who did not remain silent" about these "crimes," he has urged them at the same time to go beyond "words" and to accelerate the sending of new defense packages.
"The supply of anti-missiles, ammunition for our combat aviation, investments in interceptors: all this effectively works to save lives every day," the Ukrainian president emphasized, highlighting the importance of strengthening the country's defensive capabilities.
This attack comes while Ukraine is in a day of national mourning for the thirty deceased in the recent wave of bombings launched by the Russian Army this Wednesday against the capital, Kiev, and twelve provinces of the country, including the region of Chernihiv, the hardest hit, where 22 deaths have been recorded.
