The Ministry of Defense of Russia communicated this Saturday that its troops have managed to take control of the localities of Lukashovo and Lobanovka, located in the Kharkiv region, in eastern Ukraine, in the context of the military offensive launched against the country in 2022.
"Units of the 'North' Group of Forces in the Kharkiv region are tightening the encirclement and expanding the outer control zone. The localities of Lukashovo and Lobanovka have been secured within the perimeter of the encirclement," the Ministry informed in a message published on social media.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian authorities have reported new attacks with Russian drones on Jolodnohirski and Slobidski, also in the Kharkiv region, which have hit a healthcare facility, causing a fire and leaving several injured.
The military governor of Kharkiv, Oleg Sinegubov, has indicated that two of the injured in the Slobidski district have required medical attention. In total, during the last 24 hours in the Kharkiv region, one person has died and six civilians have been injured due to Russian military actions.
In recent months, Moscow has been reporting advances on the ground in Ukraine, with particular emphasis on the Donetsk province, which, along with Lugansk, both integrated into the Donbas region, has already been the scene since 2014 of a conflict between pro-Russian separatists and Ukrainian government forces.
