A delegation of the Government of Venezuela arrived this Monday in Madrid "with a constructive spirit" and "commitment to dialogue" with the objective of advancing in the preparations for the XXX Ibero-American Summit, scheduled for November 4 and 5.

The vice minister for Multilateral Issues of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Joaquín Pérez Ayestarán, has indicated in a message circulated on social networks: "With a constructive spirit, political will and firm commitment to dialogue and cooperation, we arrive today in Madrid, Spain to participate in the preparatory work of the XXX Ibero-American Summit, with the determination to contribute to the building of consensus and to the strengthening of our Ibero-American Community".

The Venezuelan representative has focused on the "new stage of recovery, reconstruction and transformation" that the country is experiencing and, along these lines, has highlighted that "we aspire to continue expanding the opportunities offered by Ibero-American cooperation in areas such as education, science, innovation, economic and social development and disaster risk management, for the benefit of the good life and the prosperity of the Venezuelan people".

He framed these steps "as part of the efforts driven by President Delcy Rodríguez to advance in the rebirth of our country".

Pérez has highlighted the "value of understanding and shared responsibility" to "promote joint initiatives and projects that translate into concrete benefits for the well-being of our peoples and the development of our nations" in this "important event" in Madrid.

The vice minister concluded his message by emphasizing: "From Venezuela, we reaffirm our determination to continue promoting a diplomacy of peace, dialogue and cooperation, at the service of national interests and the well-being of our people".
