The Popular Party and Forum Asturias have disseminated this Saturday a joint statement in which they underline the full harmony between both forces in the defense of the interests of Asturias, after the conversations held between the leaderships of the two parties on the occasion of the upcoming general elections. As a result of this rapprochement, Forum Asturias confirms that it will provide its support to the PP in the electoral appointment of November 29.

During these meetings, the president of Forum Asturias, Carmen Moriyón, has presented to the PP a set of demands aimed at addressing the issues they consider priorities for Gijón and for the whole of Asturias.

In the joint declaration, both formations highlight that the Popular Party expresses its commitment to the needs in housing, transportation, and key infrastructures that Asturias has been claiming for years, as well as with the promotion of policies aimed at eliminating obstacles, reducing the tax burden, favoring the activity of entrepreneurs and self-employed individuals, and reinforcing the economic dynamism of Asturias and Spain.

In this way, the two political organizations reaffirm their willingness to continue collaborating and to combine efforts to protect the interests of Asturias and respond to the demands of the Asturian citizens.
